SGV participates in the 2014 Philippine Mining Conference
Members of the SGV Natural Resources Development Team — Assurance partners Peps Zabat, Rommie Danao, Sonia Segovia and Len Layug, and senior director Junerly Sy — attended the recently concluded Mining Philippines 2014 Conference and Exhibition hosted by the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. The three-day conference, with the theme Philippine Mining: The Next 25 Years, included discussions on policy, business, technology, corporate social responsibility, environment and the youth’s involvement in the Philippine mining industry.
Vice President Jejomar Binay led the panel of speakers. Other distinguished guests who participated in the discussions include incumbent and former cabinet officials, congressmen and senators, and renowned experts from international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the World Bank.
